We’ve made it to Colorado! Check out the snow!
One thing with traveling is that its always hard to eat good food, especially in an airport. I’m a big food snob (as we know) and hate eating at chain restaurants unless I have to. In an effort to clean out our fridge before we left AND eat healthy, I packed Ziplocs filled with healthy snacking foods and lunch.
Roasted Sweet Potatoes for breakfast (of course)
Grapes
A Berry Salad with Strawberries, Blueberries, and Blackberries, chickpeas and goat cheese
An Apple
I think a lot of people don’t realize that you can take all these things in a carry-on bag! As long as there’s no liquids… I was actually really upset when I flew this summer and had prepared overnight oatmeal in a mason jar to eat while I was waiting to board the plane, but because I had made it liquid-y they confiscated it! I was furious! So I would suggest not taking soup, oatmeal, or other “looser” foods. I didn’t take salad dressing but just got some when my family bought food.
Well, snow’s a’ fallin! Gotta hit the slopes!
